Learning environment: programming games

The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and it involves pupils from 12 Finnish comprehensive schools.

The pupils
• learn the skills in new and fun ways
• acquire skills and knowledge needed in future jobs

The project
• encourages problem-solving and logical thinking
• improves and develops students' IT skills
• provides a platform for pupils to comment on ideas and games created by other pupils
• provides a platform for co-operation between school subjects
• creates a network for teachers to try out sharing information and lesson plans
• links the schools with IT companies and software developers
